Today was all about Music City. I always enjoy being in Nashville. There is something to be said about a city that revolves around music. Granted, it is famous for revolving around country, but that is a stereotype that mars such a nice city. It is the home of so much music. Production companies, record labels, bands, singers, royalties agencies. You name it, it is in Nashville.
We started the day by driving into downtown and trying to find good parking to park the RV. That was a challenge, but I backed us into a spot and the back end of the RV and our amp box pretty much blocked off the sidewalk. Perfect.
We met up with Lacey, one of our friends from Jacksonville, who is currently in Tennessee. From there, we went to a number of places trying to find good food. We ended up at a Mexican place. It was delectable. Then we visited a bunch of little shops, got coffee, and walked down the street where all the publishing companies and record labels are. From there we went to the Opryland Hotel which was amazing! Fountains, music, gardens, food...everything you can imagine was there! We had an awesome time. I am really glad it all worked out and Lacey was able to meet us there and spend the day!
Now we are on the forever long drive to Texas. We are about 9 hours away. We have a load in time of 6 pm. We shall see if we can pull over, sleep, and have someone up and able to get us on the road by 8 am!
